Self Occupation

Stanley has been getting much better at playing all by himself lately.  It used to be that when we sat him down in the living room with some toys and walked away, we had 5 minutes tops before he was bored and screaming for some attention.  Now, he will often just sit there with a toy or two for a good 10-20 minutes just playing, crawling and chewing.  He will usually start chatting to himself (or whomever will listen) and making strange noises, but seems generally happy just roaming around and playing on his own.

It's fun to see him get interested in things for more than about 20 seconds.  You can see a bit of what we are talking about in the video.  We've taken to using this time to cobble together a quick dinner or pick up a little, but often it devolves into just sitting there watching him play (while trying not to let him see you watch him).  Kind of defeats the purpose, but oh, well.
